Meaning Behind the Hydro One Remotes Logo

The Hydro One Remote Communities Indigenous Logo

The turtle brings us new beginnings, structure and strength. The solid nature of the turtle’s back represents our commitment to strengthening our relationships with our customers.

The four directions unites all people together in a harmonious circle of family and community.

The eagle feathers represent partnership and balance between indigenous and non-indigenous communities and the importance of balance within these relationships.

The thunderbolts signify the source of our energy and the gifts that thunder brings us – fresh rains, growth & renewal. They are drawn along with the feathers in the direction the sun travels, from east to west, representing daily creations of new beginnings, partnerships and renewal of established partnerships with the customers and communities we serve.

In the centre, the tree represents stability and endurance in our relationships and the importance of our connection to the earth.
